PROPOWER GOLD® BY VESUVÍO
LIMITED ENGINE WARRANTY
Vesuvío Marine warrants that their remanufactured
engine shall be free from defects in materials and/or workmanship, when
installed properly by a competent technician, used for normal use, and serviced
for the periods of time from date of purchase, whichever occurs first, as
listed below:
This warranty is expressly in lieu of any other
warranty expressed or implied, including but not limited to, merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose, and all other obligations or liabilities on
the part of the re-manufacturer. By
purchasing this engine it is understood that the customer accepts and agrees to
comply with the terms of this limited warranty.
MARINE WAR
LABOR PAYMENTS: Vesuvío hourly rates for all authorized labor claims
will be paid at the established labor rate not to exceed $45.00 per hour,
maximum $550.00. Labor will be paid after a physical inspection of the returned
product determines it failed due to a defect in material or workmanship.
Warranty repairs or replacements that are not professionally performed, will be
paid at a rate not to exceed $15.00 per flat rate hour with a labor cap of
$150.00 (Bench Labor Only).
PRODUCT REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY: Product replaced under warranty carries the remainder of
the original warranty.
STANDARDS:
Subject to limitations listed herein, Vesuvío, at its option, shall repair or
replace a product within the warranty term after determination by Vesuvío of a
product defect. All products are
returned to Vesuvío for inspection. Products not returned to Vesuvío will not
be warranted. Vesuvío must authorize all
repairs and/or replacements covered by this warranty and unauthorized repairs
will not be paid.
MAINTENANCE/BREAK IN REQUIREMENTS: Oil and
filter change should be performed after the first 5 hours. Failure to have these services performed will
VOID the warranty. The engine’s oil and
filter must be changed for marine engines every 2 months or 25 hours, whichever
comes first. Records of the maintenance
performed, receipts and work orders must be kept. The parts, labor, date, or hours, and service
performed must be documented on the receipts.
Failure to perform these basic
operations will result in a voided warranty.
